Stephen Platko is a graduate of Northwestern University where he earned his Bachelor and Master of Music Education degrees. He has been a life time member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Joliet, Illinois where he was the Choir Director from 1954 to 2004. He has dedicated his retirement years to musical composition and has published works for band, choir and orchestra. His liturgical music has been performed in worship in Orthodox Churches and has been featured in concerts at the University level.
